1st good mega rig clip

OH THE DOUBLE THICK GLAZE!
I'm happy with the recording setup used. The usb mic that Neg recommended to me. I just stuck the mic in the closet with the leslie and turned up the volume and used my laptop cam. I'm happy with my playing. Command of the organ, play everything mostly right, good rhythms, changing sounds. I had a drum track playing off of my laptop that kept me in time, but it didn't get recorded. I think it sounds good like that. You can kind of hear the foot bass thru laptop speakers and will probably hear it fully with good speakers or headphones. To Nexion: you can hear me play past 16th notes, 16th note triplets I believe. The tune is the jazz standard In a mellow tone by Duke Ellington. For those of you who don't know what a jazz standard is:

You mean that sweep at 0:55? I can do that too :nana: Jk, jk, good job man. And more importantly you seem to be having fun. May the bass "swings" a bit more than I would like, but really, great job!

Thx yeah I'm gonna be having fun if I can have all the music parts going at once. It's a fun instrument. I think I understand what you mean about my swing feel. My jazz rhythms have always been all old timey. I dunno where I got that from lol.

I've had several music burn outs but always smoldered along even if I wasn't that pumped. So it's good to be at a good place with a good instrument and reasonable skills. It's a bit of a niche and I like regular music, but I'm always happy to work at the Hammond so oh well.

PS: I can tell you like the sweep. :nana:

I totally get this wild west saloon vibe for some reason. :) Esp. in the beginning

P.P.S.: at least my sweeps need more than one finger :nana:

I need to do something about my music sounding like it came from a saloon lol. Where tf did I get that? I listen to many styles of jazz. Yes, guitar is very technical, which is why I quit.

Don't know the first thing about keys/organs or Jazz standards but it seemed well played, was a decent tune & looked like you were having fun :bigthumb:

Now how about some Deep Purple! :D
