2 amps at once, and FX loop connection

Hey guys,
Say I wanted to play through 2 amps at once. One has a slave out, which I guess could be put into the input of amp 2. Or I could use an ABY switcher like the framptone i guess...

The question is, I want to run my delay unit through BOTH of these amps' FX loops at once. Is there an easy way to wire this up, or is there some kind of device out there that enables me to do this?

Thanks!!!

I'm not sure I fully understand your question but NEVER hook the slave out into the INPUT of the other amp ... you'll fry the preamp on the second amp. You would have to run it into the effects loop in (which bypasses the preamp, leaving only the power amp).

is your delay stereo? if it is run whatever amp you want to taylor your sound as your preamp. put the pedal into that effects loop as you would normally. then take the other output of the pedal and run it into your other amp's effects in. you'll get to use the power amps of both amps and you'll get the ping-pong effect of the stereo delay.

I do something similar to what skyydogg01 describes with a stereo delay. My setup involves a stereo chorus as well. My signal goes into the chorus, which has a stereo output. Then, I run each of the stereo outs for the chorus to the stereo ins of the delay. One of the stereo outs goes to a Vox AC30, and the other goes to a Fender Super Reverb. In between the delay and the amps is an Ebtech Hum Eliminator, which removes the 60-cycle hum without lifting the ground; a great little device that doesn't harm my tone in the least.

In your case, you'd want to run one of the delay channels through one amp's loop, and the other channel through the other loop.

I hadn't taken into account that the delay may have stereo in's.

if that's the case then Keith's the man!!!

check the pedals. I plan on running 2 amps, and I believe I can run 2 outputs from my wah pedal, which makes it all pretty convenient!

Thanks for all the great responses. Damn, thanks for the warning, I had NO idea that running from slave to input would fry my pre-section. Whew, glad I didnt try it.

Sounds like the stereo option will be the way to go...I'll give it a try!

yeah, and what two amps are you running?

Just trying out some different things. I usually gig with a highly modded Marshall TSL, and occasionally with a mesa dual rec...so I was thinking...wouldnt it be deafiningly cool to combine the two! :fing2:

I'll give it a shot this weekend! Will let you know how it turns out!
