2 Clips-Metal Content (Thrash-Mesa Content)

Hey guys these are two songs i wrote with my band, but i played them by myself with 2 simple looping drums (so no tempo changes until i can find a drum machine). These were done with my Mesa Rectoverb Combo with a GE-7 hitting the front end and boosting mids and cutting lows. These are older clips, once i get my 4 track and my Sh-5 installed there will be new clips.

the instrumental one has very nice riffs and the solo fits nicely. less is more in this one, it sounds great. the sound is cool too

the double tracking sounds especially good on the maelstrom song. you dont hear this style of riffind every day. a nice breath of fresh stuff. love it, they got a very catchy groove. i really want to hear complete songs, awesome stuff!

keep up the good work. the recordings are also great

Thanks guys...its all going through my Boss BR-532 Digital 4 track.

Sorry to say but it seems that my co-guitarist is too busy to play much anymore, and my drummer can't always keep up with my (our) style, so I am thinking about trying to find new guys if I can't convince these guys to step it up. I am 16 and it's tough to find guys who are into music like I am, with an open mind who play well.

yeah, a lot of people seem to feel that way.

my tone since has changed (it changes almost each week)...i do think it needed a bit of a heavier tone, not necesarrily (sp) more gain but more low end or more aggressive mids, both which would have been supplied by turning up the volume.
I think the Rectoverb has enough gain

Indeed! I try to play with others (any genre really on guitar or bass) at least 2 or 3 times a month.

Interesting stuff.
The guitar sounds a bit too 'distant' fer my taste, and it sounds like your pups may be a bit too low to get the kind of sound you need for this type of music, but I like!!

Well that is why i just put in a Duncan Custom! It really pushes my amp more than the HZ's i had...and they sound a lot thicker...very cool pickup for metal.
