2 HB & 4-way, No Splitting Scheme,,,

Hey all~ I've been building too many SC pickguards for a stretch, & I'm drawing a blank, & Google gets close but,,, Here's the shot,,, 2 H'buckers, 4 way lever, master vol & master tone, & I want (1 thru 4) Bridge, B&N parallel, B&N series, then neck.... No splitsville,,, just straight up & full steam ahead.... I removed the
rats-nest of wires which looked strange, & the 2 & 4 positions were noticeably lower, & the sounds were just mediocre, at best... Schematic, please...

AFAIK the usual assignments on a standard T-type 4-way are:
1) bridge
2) both pickups in parallel
3) neck
4) both pickups in series

I've sometimes considered turning the switch around and reversing the pickup attachments, giving:
1) both pickups in series
2) bridge
3) both pickups in parallel
4)neck

There may be a 4-way wiring that will give you the assignments you want, but it isn't the usual one.

EDIT: Found a thread on the Tele forum about this - it can be done using a standard 4-way.

I keep getting errors whenever I try to add a picture after the fact... But I've been messing around w/it, testing the readings on all the different wire connections for each p/u, looking for the hottest tap; Red + White tied together, and the Green only gives me the highest resistance.. This should work.

Basically the bridge is controlled by connecting, or not connecting the bridge hot to the volume pot. To get the pickups in series in P-3 the bridge hot connects to the neck ground.

The neck is controlled by connecting, or not connecting the neck ground, or to get the series option by connecting it to the bridge hot.

Most likely Schecters as the guitar is stock. The highest K reading I was able to attain was 4 and change,,, kinda low, but the guitar sounded fab in the 1, 3 and 4... but it was a mess w/2 and 4 being very much like 1 and 5, but with a solid 6 or 7db down...Thnx

3 neck 4 series? That's standard 4-way telecaster. Either follow the diagram below or use mine but with the cyan jumper moved from A-3 >> B- to A-4 >> B-4 and move the green ground wire to the volume pot from A-4 to A-3.

The other stagger in your 1st scheme, matches the switch I have, so kindly tell me what to change on THAT scheme to get the #3 as the Neck and the #4, the Series... If you will...?,,,,

Jumpers in different places,,,? I realize that most of them aren't for H'buckers, as yours is...

Non split humbuckers, P90s, single coils, noiseless, it makes no difference. It's all about how the hots and grounds are connected, the jumpers on the switch, etc., and you can always change from switching the bridge hot / neck ground to switching the neck ground and bridge hot. Just different ways of doing the same thing.
