2 mics into a computer?

Is there some sort of tool which allows you to hook up 2 mics to a single input jack on the back of your computer?

You'll have to buy a multi input pre-amp or mixer.

So there's no like "Plug x amount of mics into here, and this machine will turn the signal into one for you to plug into your computer" machine, eh?

The little preamp I use (Audio Buddy) can do that, although I think the only way to mix the signal would be to set the gains at different levels for the mics. Then it would just go onto one track as is.
