What one do you use and why ? I use a 3ch head but like the simpleness of a 2 ch rig. I guess if you play lead a 3 ch and a 2ch for rhythm, im still kinda new to all the guitar stuff thats why I have so many questions.

Well , if you compare the Marshall DSL(2ch) and TSL(3ch) its a match between brilliant tone and sound quality (DSL) over not so good tone and sound quality but lots of bells and whistles (TSL) IMO.....but as for most other 2ch verses 3ch it just a preference than anything else...

The only thing I don't like about dual channel amps is the tendancy for a shared the EQ. Otherwise dual channel amps are all I really need. Simple and effective.

My main grudge too.

I use a older 2 channel triple rec.

seperate eq's and gain.

after many side-by-side comp.s w/ the new 3 ch. the 2 channel kills the 3 channel everytime.. I dont know why.

I used to play a 4 ch. but quickly realized I only used 2 of the ch's anyway ...

I have 6 channels on my Triamp and I use every single one. Why compromise versatility if you need it? It's great to get anything from sparkling clean to warm clean to AC/DCish type light crunch to JCM style gain to raw Mesa to Steve Vai-eque lead tone ("Die to Live"). I embrace every channel for it's uniqe tonal properties and find places for all of them in my compositions.

I use a V-twin into a JCM 800, so essentially a 2 channel setup.

What for: Ultraclean, as in "eat off the floor", or raining hell :D

My thoughts exactly. I used to own a three channel Triple Rectifier, but traded it in for a Single, not just because of the fact that in my style of music a 3rd channel is rarely needed (that I feel is used more for bragging rights), but because the Single blew it out of the water for what I'm doing.

ONE channel.... ;) and only with 3 knobs and a switch, at that..... gotta love it, pure and simple.

thats interesting

I own a 2 ch single as well ... it collects dust for a living ... just wont do what the triple does for me. not enough push . it is a great amp tho~

depends. what kind of switching for 3 channel do you have? if it has the poor mans switching, ala peavey, then it can be a hassle. if the channel switching is seperate, with 3 buttons, then it is simpler, IMO.

i want an 8 channel preamp.......coming soon, too.
