2 passive musicman wiring with preamp

Hi all,

I'm trying to build a bass with dual passive musicman pickups but I can't figure out the wiring part. I have three knobs (no switch). I was thinking to use two concentric knobs for each pickup (one knob controlling front and rear of neck pickup and the other controlling the same for the bridge pickup) and one knob for the tone. I also want to put a preamp. Has anyone done similar config or know how I can do this?

Thanks in advance!

You’re going to need to either add another pot or a switch.

On a real MM the preamp volume is after the preamp, so it’s not like you have a volume control for each pickup.

I’d either add a mini on-on-on toggle switch or a blend pot before the preamp.

Thanks, David! That thought occur to me after I did some more research, and I found a Glockenklang 2-band preamp. It has push and pull volume, blend, and bass/treble. It is not specifically for musicman, but do you think I can use this and wire two musicman into this?
