Just found a steal of a deal on a Les Paul Studio Premium Plus. Much cheaper than what's on Reverb or Ebay... While I may flip it down the road, its my second time purchasing one of these models...
I'm going to use it for a short time or at least until the 2016 Gibson Studio 50's Tribute Gold Top comes out...
But I'm really curious... Gibson does not show the 2016's on their website, but they are on several online retailers...
What does the 50's rounded shape really mean? All of their current reissues list the 50's being a .9" at the first fret. Does that mean a 50's tribute will be thick like that too? Or will it be the thin 60's Slim Taper bullsh*t they build most of their guitars to?
Anyone know?
Oh, here's a pic of the guitar I just bought...
