2022 Strat

Putting a fake Malmsteen neck on a 2022 MIM/MIA strat today. The neck is actually very good quality with a decent finish, and of course a Fender brass nut, with brass saddles.

I dig the Malmsteen necks. Is this one rosewood or maple?

I want to try a rosewood or ebony scalloped neck also. That will be the next mod on another Fender strat.

I have an ebony scalloped neck on my Warmoth, and a rosewood scalloped neck on my Music Man. I don't notice much of a difference as you never touch the fretboard.

Cool, any info on the neck? I am in need of a neck soon and was thinking of doing a scalloped board.

Lol yeah, I guess it would be esthetics more than anything. I do like the look of a darker neck on some guitars.

Cool I was just looking at that but they don't show the headstock, what's it look like.

I have a scalloped neck. It's a maple mij tele neck on a strat knock off body with a dimarzio super in the bridge.
I did mine myself,hogged um out with a Dremel then hand sanded um.

Two of mine were ordered from Warmoth that way (an ebony/roasted maple & padouk/padouk combo) and one was done professionally to my Music Man.

Yes, it feels like a modern C but just a bit taller like a D.

Correction, it measures the same at the twelfth fret.
