2nd RID Fusion (what a cool backing)

This a real first, first take (except the first 5 secs which I overdubbed) when you have just picked up the guitar, switched on the amp, let the backing run and before all the scales, modes, inhibitions, peer pressure, stress, work problems, life problems, anxiety, and everythings else begin to infest the virgin mind.

I played this run and asked myself: "Why go any further?" :33:

I used my Telecaster with the bridge pickup and my Engl amp.

Thanks for listening! :)

that is a scorching lead tone

some awesome licks in there marin - you never fail to impress :)

Re: 2nd RID Fusion (what a cool backing)

hey thanks. It's interesting what you can pull out from a puny little Tele. ;)

Re: 2nd RID Fusion (what a cool backing)

pretty nice licks there. cool runs and a very very nice tone.

man, i got to get me that port thing :argh:

Wow, superb Marin... and that proves something I've been thinking for a while now... sinc I heard your Seths actually.

The secrets of your tone has little to do with pickups and guitars...

1) You sound awesome on just about anything. You'd get a great tone out of a plywood plank equiped with an Epiphone pickup :D

2) Your amp as a killer tone

Talent and a good amp does a lot more for you than pups and guitars.

And this is my personal mea culpa... I'll stop blaming my PG and keep practicing :)

I like my amp and its good for playing at home. I haven't mentioned that I use a Banzai OD which adds a nice flavour to the tone.

Regarding the pickups, both the Seths and the Telecaster bridge I use are very midrangy.

Thanks for the "talent" thing! :)

that is great. i am really starting to dig ENGL. everything I hear recorded with them sounds pretty amazing.

Re: 2nd RID Fusion (what a cool backing)

Smokin'. Marin I love your playing. Like you said no need to take a second take.

Re: 2nd RID Fusion (what a cool backing)

Hey Marin, NICE! Love your playing... I've got a quick question for you: What speakers are in your Screamer?

Re: 2nd RID Fusion (what a cool backing)

RGN: It's a nice little amp. Perhaps a bit compressed. I would like to have a HRD in combination with it to get more Fender-ish tones.

Thanks AI, Thanks Artie. :)

Ocifer: It's a (Chinese) Celestion V80 12 inch. Comes stock with the amp.

Re: 2nd RID Fusion (what a cool backing)

that was awesome tone and the rhythm and timing were perfect in every sence.
