Is there a reason that Seymour Duncan does not have a wiring diagram for a setup with 2 phat cats 1 vol, 1 tone and 3way toggle pickup selector switch.


I really need this diagram. I am putting a pair of phat cats in a PRS Singlecut hollow body II. It has master tone, master vol, 3 way switch routing.

Any suggestions on where I can get this diagram or is there a reason SD only shows phat cat setup with 2 vols?

Just subtract one volume.

That will not work, pu selector then would not work since both sides wired to same lug of vol pot.

All you do is run the hot wires directly to the switch and the middle wire goes to the pot.

Yes, hot wires from each pup go to the outside terminals of the switch. From the middle terminal go to the vol pot (with the connection to the tone pot), then to the jack. Like this...

Just ignore the extra wires in the hummers (red, white, and green).

Phat Cats are single coil pickups, therefore, any schematic for 2 x single coils, Switchcraft selector switch, 1 Vol, 1 Tone will do the trick.

rebel, after a while, you get used to mixing and matching sections of several schematic diagrams to assemble the one required for a specific guitar application.
