Hey, so im gonna be playing slipknots killpop live at my schools talent show... and we want to do it with three guitarists... will it turn to mush or if everyone is tight can we pull it off? I have played with three guitarists before and it sounds like absolute crap to be honest.

1) Tightness is key. If your not tight it will sound like ****. This goes for the whole band.
2) Tones. Get the tones dialed in right so you aren't just all competing with each other.
3) Guitars. This song is in B. If your all using 6 strings than everyone needs AT LEAST a .56 on their low e. I used to use 60 or something like that when I tuned that low.
4) Practice....practice...practice. Are you guys a band? Make sure you run through this song 40x at least. No, I am not exaggerating.
5) This is a simpler 'knot tune. Look at maybe arranging the guitars a little differently to leave space. for ex. During the first part one guitar is doing octaves, the other is doing inverted power chords. 1 guitar does high octaves, 1 guitar does the inverted power chords, the third guitar player either a) plays the octaves based on the 5th (since its inverted) or b) Based on the root OR c) Playing just the higher or lower two notes of it (low to high: either 5th and root or root and the higher 5th.
