Hello everyone... my first posting !

I have downloaded the diagram for the above for my strat upgrade, the diagram very nearly matches my plans however I also have a push push volume pot/switch that I want to use to coil tap the bridge humbucker. I'm not very experienced with wiring these up though I have re-wired a few guitars in the past but I just went with stock wiring plans.

So with the above diagram I can get from my 5 -way superswitch

1) Bridge Full Humbucker
2) Bridge & Middle both split - hum cancelling)
3) Middle Full Humbucker
4) Middle & neck both split- hum cancelling)
5) Neck full Humbucker.

I want to use the push push volume pot to coil tap the Bridge Humbucker on position 1 ... can anyone point me to a solution ?

Thanks in anticipation.

Stuart from scotland.

Re: 3 Single coil HB 1Volume 2 tone & superswitch.

What are the pickups, specifically? What do you hope to do with the two tone controls?

It is possible to use three of the four poles on the superswitch to handle the pickup combining and auto-split duties provided the middle HB is 4-conductor. This will free up a pole to select the tone control, if that is necessary. In order to do this and have positions 2 and 4 be hum cancelling (assuming the Duncan wiring convention), you will need to connect black and green together, white and bare together and use the red as hot for the middle pickup. Alternatively, you can rewire the neck and bridge and leave the middle stock.

The push-pull pot can be used to switch on any coil (provided you have the right humbucker). Remember the push-pull is just a switch sitting underneath a pot, if you sit down and think about where the signal is going the possibilities really are endless. Check this out

Very helpful article thank you for pointing it out to me, I'll let you know how I get on.

Cheers
