HI,
I'M BUILDING A JAZZMASTER STYLE BODY WITH 3 MINI HUMBUCKERS AND I WANT TO USE 3 , 8 LUG 3WAY SLIDE SWITCHES FOR ON / OFF / SPLIT .
1 FOR EACH PUP.
DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA HOW TO WIRE THESE SWITCHES ?
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APRECIATED.
THANKS

Re: 3 WAY SLIDE SWITCH

Consider the 8 terminal sliding switch as having two poles. (i.e. Each line of four terminals.) One pole of each switch performs the on/off/on function. The other pole completes the connection to ground of the coil split conductor(s).

Let's name them
1234
5678

On the first pole;
1 = PU hot and link to 4
2 = link to 3
3 = link to 2 and output to control pots
4 = PU hot (from terminal 1)

On the second pole;
5 = NOT USED
6 = link to 7
7 = link to 6 and ground
8 = coil split conductor(s) from pickup.

NOTE: For convenience, the green and bare conductors from each miniHB can also be grounded to terminals 6 and 7 of its respective switch.

For your Jazzmaster, the three switches will need to be linked. Terminal 3s all linked. Terminal 7s all linked.
