3-way toggle switch not working

Hey guys, literally just got a brand new guitar yesterday, and the toggle isn't working. It's a charvel San Dimas style 1 hh, and the toggle switch is just way too loose to do anything. It will click into the neck position if I find just the perfect angle, but it won't ever click into the bridge. Even in the middle it's wobbling around constantly and it keeps changing the sound on me. I've tried to open the back and just squeeze the two metal connectors closer together, but that didn't work. Any help you could give me would be appreciated, I don't know if I should try and fix it, or just send it back to the company for a replacement.

If the toggle is the only thing wrong with the guitar, I wouldn't go through the hassle of sending the entire thing back to wherever you got it. It's a quick fix and three way toggles are like 5 bucks. Fix it yourself.

Changing the switch would probably void any warranty it may have. Not sure if that's important to you or not... I'm not saying don't do it, just be aware of that in case you do decide to do it yourself.

From the back of the switch don't squeeze the contacts together with the switch in the middle position, that won't work. The way to get it to make better contact is to flip the switch to one side then push/lightly bend the contact that is trying to make a connection so it's a firmer connection with the center while the center post is out of the way on the other side, then flip the switch the other way and bend that side closer.

I hope that makes sense, trying to word what is a real simple fix seems harder than the fix haha.
