333k pot mod

I am changing my strat pots from 250K to 500K value. I want to do the 333K Mod. Can anyone tell me if i must do the mod in the Volume or Tone POT?

I am a bit confuse... in some foruns people says it must be in volume pot...
Maybe i will try in both...

Volume pot. This mod on the tone pot is nearly inaudible

It depends which pot you want to change. I would maybe change the volume pot first, since that lowers the resonant frequency. Doing the mod to the tone pot is basically the same as turning the tone knob back a little bit.

ok! Thank you all.

I will try the 333k mod on volume pot, or a 500K volume pot with TBX tone control for the neck pickup
