I am doing a finish on a jackson warrior and i was surprised to see that the body is a 4 piece that is made from stacking 2 on top of each other.
What i find really odd is why have they cut the two halves of each side into a bookmatch and then glued them on top of each other? It sort of seems like they are double handling it for no reason. Why not just glue the two completed halves together and make it 2 pieces?
I am sure its common i just have never seen it done like that and i thought it was interesting.

Maybe its not bookmatched but it sure is close. Looks to me like it has been but maybe planned a bit more on one side..
