4 Way Switch Strat Wiring

Ok, so I'm plotting to mod the **** out of my old squier strat and want to try some creative wiring. At the minute, I'm considering buying a GFS Brian May Strat pickguard, and wiring the guitar like the red special, or opting for a 4 way selector (N/B Series, N, N/B Parallel, B) as on a telecaster with an on/off/on switch for the middle pickup, wired to be either in or out of phase, or in series or parallel. Does anyone know if this is actually possible and would it be worth it?

Re: 4 Way Switch Strat Wiring

In my opinion, the 3 pickups, 4-way selector switch idea works better with a Master Volume, Master Tone, Middle PU Blend pot control layout.

I have the GFS pickguard kit (sans the TriSonic-alike pickups). For the coil combinations that you describe, the wisest move would be to follow the schematic diagram offered below with the extra switch that determines whether the bridge position pickup runs in series with the other two (i.e. normal BMRS mode) or in parallel for some more Fendery options.

BTW, it does have to be the bridge position pickup that gets the series/parallel switching.
