So have a DK24 HH that had a tech out two dimarzios in. I’d like to switch out the neck pickup for another dimarzio but I can’t seem to find the right diagram? Also, the there’s something wrong with the neck pickup as there’s a huge drop in volume, it wasn’t always like this. I’m sort of just lost and frustrated:///

match the wire colors and you should be good.

if the neck pup isnt working correctly, it could be the wiring, the switch, or the pup itself

Or you can take notes and make your own drawing about which wire goes where. And then take the pickup out, swap it then re-wire again just like the former ones footprints ;)

To test the pickup disconnect it from the harness and use crocodile clips to directly connect it to a cable to the amp.

I have problems like every now and then.
Its always the super switches that get me.

Mine stem mostly from inner coils/outer coil and identification with respect to wire color, and from rotation of the switch during wiring and putting a wire in the wrong spot

The good thing with a super switch is the 5 separate lugs make it easy to see what's wrong. Find the corresponding lug to the position and trace that one out.

I might have the schematic. I duplicated that circuit into my Ibanez a few years ago to back up my Charvel. I will look when I get home. It's detailed work but it's not all that bad to do

It's not just a super switch though. The 4 pole toggle is there too

What are the 5 positions of the switch doing?
What they should be doing:

Bridge / inner coils / both buckers / outer coils / neck. All positions are hum cancelling and either series or parallel depending on the toggle position.

I may have the inner/outer positions backwards. It's been a minute

Well, then the best of luck to you! Lol

I think I could land a plane with that much firepower!
J/k.

If I can't do it on a super switch alone or maybe with 1 mini switch (itd have to be a set it and forget it/minimal use thing for me), then i dont really need it.

If the sound is that good, ill plan it into one of the 5. I dont need more than that .

Guitars with Les paul 3 way switches get a coil split that works on both pickups at once. Its a humbucker/single coil, either/or thing.

I'm all for versatility, but simplicity is key.
