I forgot to mention this the other day, got caught up in my own goldtop fever, but when I met with 54stratlover and his wife in Seattle the other day, he had this bizarre metal industrial looking teleesque guitar.

Uh, craig, how about a picture or two. You guys gotta see this thing. We didn't plug it in, but it's supposed to be a playa!

i've had GAS for one of these since the day i saw it but the price tag and the fact that i don't think i can get a thick tone from a metal body stops me from getting one...one day when i have cash to blow it will be mine...along with a tetnis shot lol

The 24 inch scale on the LP is not a good thing in my book...but oh well...they sound amazing!

I was truly suprised by the tone. It is fat/thick/full. I thought it would be thin and tinny. It is exactly the opposite. Beefy, like a big fat charbroled t-bone,

Most people think yu get a tinny sound out of metal guitars. I find metal gives some of the deepest, warmest, most resonant tone. It seems to hold the vibrations longer than wood. My aluminum necked guitar is not really as loud acoustically as my wooden guitars, but you can feel that the resonance is deeper and last longer.
