59/custom hybrid ?s

I just got a 59/custom hybrid in the mail to put into one of my geetars. I was originally going to slap it into my explorer but the Suhr Aldrich pickup is really rocking in that axe. My other guitar that I actually play is my one pickup fender strat.

I have had experience with the 59, and like it. Had a custom 5 and kinda didn't like it. I should probably just put it in the strat and see if what happens... but what should I expect? Hotter 59 with more mids maybe? Thanks! And another thanks to the guy who sold it to me!

I'll offer up first since I actually tried it in my Strat.

it keeps a lot of 59 characteristics but adds some power and smoothness from the Custom - maybe not quite as bright as the 59 can sometimes be. if your Strat is moderately bright like mine though, you may want to swap in an A2 magnet - it still has a more scooped mid feel with the A5 in there. It's edgy like mismatched coils always are and I think it sounds great with low to moderate gain. it should kill with your JCM 800.
