59 Custom Hybrid w/ P90 neck

I have a mim Fender Jaguarillo that has Lollar P90's in the neck and bridge.. The neck is awesome but the bridge I just can't live with.. Switching from neck or middle position to bridge and all the bottom end disappears. I have done everything I can to get some low end into the equation but nothing has worked. adjusted height, screws, swapped magnets with A8/A4 combo, RA2's. UOA5's RA5.s, Stock A5... No go..
I was looking at the SD 59 Custom Hybrid as a possible solution for the bridge with the p90. The P90 is pretty robust, wound @ 8.2k, and is a sweet sounding pickup. Full,
articulate, responsive to playing style, it's a very good sounding P90 which is no surprise.. I plan on keeping it where its at..
I'm thinking the hybrid would be a good match for the robust P90.
Would be a badass offset I think..
Anyone here paired the hybrid with a P90?
I'm probably going to give it a shot...

The Custom Hybrid has a good solid bass to it, so I think it might work. If you are looking for a much more modern low end, look at the Pegasus, too.

That's a good option to go for a hum in the bridge with a P90 in the neck if you don't want the full clank of a P90 in the bridge. The guitar maintains a similar vibe to it. I think that's a good choice.

Cool! Let us know how this project turns out. I ordered a 59/Custom Hybrid with a roughcast A5 magnet and double screws with a flipped magnet. It is a remarkable pickup.

Got my 59Custom Hybrid yesterday.. .. I just sanded the pickguard a little , just enough to allow the Humbucker to fit in the P90 hole.. Jaguarillos are routed with swimming pool routes so anything will fit in them.. Didn't take much sanding and while it doesn't look factory with the extra open space on each end I'm not really concerned about that.. It is neatly done clean enough that for a player guitar it is totally good to go.. Have it screwed directly into the body. I could always use a couple of drops of glue and cover that space with the HB pickup ring that came with it if I wanted.. No one would notice unless they looked pretty close.. I'm not concerned about that though..
Initial reactions is it really beefed up the bridge tone a lot. I have it wired basically 2 pickup 50's style . It really interacts well with the volume and tone knobs. Wired 50's style it holds it's tone excellently as you roll the volume down so it doesn't get dark/ muddy.. I have .022 cap in and I can roll the tone nob down to about 2 or 2.5 ish before it really gets muffled. The rest of the sweep it rounds off nicely but still is defined and doesn't lose it's string to string definition. It seems to balance out pretty well with the Lollar p90 neck..
I will probably throw a rough cast A5 and maybe a RC A2 in it to see what that does, I have magnets on hand so an easy deal there.
Liking it so far.. Seymour and the boys / girls do good work...
