Here is a really cool one I put together... the Hex polepieces spread the magnetic field out more and produce a more massive tone with a really punchy/gutsy bass/midrange...

This is certainly something you won't see everyday... made from a CCJ and a 59BJ... MJ wound coils!

Nice pickup Pete, I have a Jazz(b) and 59(b) with these pole pieces I use in the neck, paired with a real Invader in the bridge. Works great. Someone buy this pickup!
