A2 is warmer with more midrange. The bass is looser and the highs are sweeter/softer. Output the '59 is slightly more.

Makes for one hell of a versatile set!!
The 59 sounds like a humbucker all the way. PAF, Gibson-like tone all the way. Fat, full but not too middy so it can clean up.
The A2P Humbucker is somewhat similar but seems to have more of a "single-coil" like vibe to it as it possesses some chime and plenty of articulation. the mids are just a touch higher than the 59, but the treble and upper mids are better equipped for cutting through (even under the heaviest of fuzz/OD) for a lead pickup.
Makes for one hell of a versatile set!!
