59n in Ibanez RG655

Hi, long term lurker, first time poster. Spent a long time looking but couldn't really find an answer to this.

I have an Ibanez RG655 and want to put a 59 in the neck. I found a good deal locally (including 4 conductor) but it's advertised as having long legs. I know I can get this ordered with short legs, but will it fit anyway with the long legs or are the short legs a requirement to fit typical Ibanez RG with a pickguard?

Any help much appreciated

I'm 99% sure it will fit. The '59 fit fine in my RG570. IME, it's just the direct-mount routes that are too shallow for long-legged pups.

I thought the RG570 was direct mount?

Mine is from '98. It isn't.
