Looks cool! What guitar is that?

The time I remember trying the Dimebucker, it was too much for me. But I'd love to give it a second chance. The one guitar I tried it in was VERY picky with pickups, and almost everything I tried in it sounded thin and weak for some reason.

It's an Explorer build by myself. Didn't want to spent the cash for a real gibson of that guitar, so that kind of started it for me.

I followed your thread with the D-activator replacement (nazgul, SH-6 etc.) and i though maybe Dimebucker for you, but i think it was already mentioned.
Yeah i have a guitar i used to test all my Pickups in. It's kind of neutral sounding (nothing overbearing) but could use some more sparkle. Lots of PUs sounded boring. Guess what, i kind of find the unplugged sound also kind of boring, although there isn't anything bad really.
i guess we shouldn't make a final judgments on a Pickups based on testing it in one guitar only.
I kinda want to try it in the future again. But right now, I'm kinda set with the 500T on my Strat and the Black Winter on my Les Paul.

I wanna get an SG, though. Maybe the Dimebucker would be a good candidate for that SG.
