Here is the video of the 65 Amps Lil' Elvis for the folks that were asking about the amp in another post. All the info in in the video.

The folks at 65 said that both head and combo versions will be at NAMM and the amps will be used at the NAMM party on Saturday night with Mike Campbell and his band.

Re: 65 Amps Lil' Elvis video

Thanks for the post Myles. Those amps do dish out a lot more power than their size lets on.
His new master voltage circuit......nice to hear he's making it a constant feature on the new amps.

I can't make it to NAMM, but maybe I'll stop by 65 Amps once you guys are less busy down there.

Feel free to drop by again anytime.

The Elvis is louder than what you would expect by a LOT

Just checked out the Verheyen clips, **** that amp sounds great, not that I expect anything less. Interesting that it pushes more clean headroom than the London.

I wonder what the overall volume difference is between the lil'elvis and london and Soho is if they are each plugged into a 65 2x12?

Maybe send Dan Boul an email and ask him for his take on things ....

I'll just wait to do it myself. We have the combo on order, though I imagine it'll take til after NAMM for any regular contact to resume. Looking forward to hearing it.

The combo is pretty amazing. The cab is deeper than the other 65amps 1x12 combos and although a bit narrower it has a lot of volume so it has huge low end that is really focused. It is very loud when the master voltage is turned up as not to drop the wattage. Due to the big low end (transformers and cabinet construction) you can turn the bass down which allows more amp power for mid lows and mids and that may be where a lot of that clean headroom comes from inspite of it's 12 watt rating.

What else is cool on the combo is that the form factor of the entire package is not any bigger than a nice 1x12 cab so if you unlpug the amp from the speaker and use a 1/4" to 1/4" female adaptor you can use the combo like a speaker cab with another amp. The combo sounded so great that a 1x12 extension cab was developed with the same form factor as it's own product. It is one of the best 1x12 cabs I have ever heard.

Happy playing.

Sounds fantastic. Can't wait to hear it.

I think you will be impressed. Everybody that has played the amp has seemed to like it to the point of ordering one and in some cases more than one of them.

Re: 65 Amps Lil' Elvis video

I am not sure where the original post went but there was a question on the master voltage feature and the poster that asked if Dana Hall was the one who was responsible for the design and I did not know. I asked Dan Boul and he said that Dana Hall was indeed the person behind the design although 65 Amps changed things around a bit component wise and there may be some other changes but Dana Hall should be creditied with the design.

I don't know if the question was on this forum or another.

Sounds like a very well designed amp there Myles!

Re: 65 Amps Lil' Elvis video

I think it's great that they built a small amp with the same build quality.

The crew over at 65 did a great job on it. Mike Francischini was the guy the built all the prototypes over a year or longer and is one of the best amp guys I know. He has been with Rivera, GT, Bogner, VHT and other places and is a great player to boot. Between him and Dan Boul they really hit it out of the park so to speak.
