Hello! I am new here to the forum, so call me a novice all you want...
This thread is actually kind of going off another thread where they talk about magnet swapping a 700t and making it sound like Angus Young. Now, if they specified it sounds like the SD custom pickups or his T-Tops, I didn't see it. So I'm here to ask...instead of buying a 490T or 490R and making and T-Top, could you make a T-Top out of a 700t or 650r using an A5 short magnet? I know the Resistance on the 700t is about 2x the resistance on a T-top, so I imagine you'd have more luck using the 650r....right?
Thanks and I'll take any other suggestions for making a T-Top, unless if it involves changing coils and rewinding, thanks!
