68 Bassman - Telecaster clip

Bullet Proof Toneologist
Two of my newest toys, a 68 Bassman, chassis is stamped 67, and a Squier Standard Tele that I am just loving, it has the best Squier neck have ever had... Useing the Stock pickups which sound really decent. Have it through my Traynor cab mic'd about 7 feet back, Weber Mass in play. Just making some noise til I lost the tuning..... I am loving the AB165 circuit, I heard a loy of folks bashing em, so I kinda let it go, then I heard one and that was it:bigok: . I am in the bass channel, volume at 9. The clip does not capture just how fat and huge that thing is, even with a Tele....

Re: 68 Bassman - Telecaster clip

Many thanks guys.

The Traynor is loaded with an mid 60s alnico CTS ( on the top) that I am yet to see another I can snatch up. It came out of a Multivox bass combo. On the bottom it is a Celestion Modern Lead 70 from 78, hates every cabinet but that one, in that 2/12 it just sounds great. I have really been moving to a big, fat, 'round sound', the Traynor cab with the alnico really put me there.

Fudgy roar is a perfect way to phrase it, it is just fat and thick w/o clarity loss. There is nothing I could really do to it to make me like it more. Really happy I got one!

Man. I had gone a couple years w/o a Tele and could not take it anymore. I just forgot how great they are. I have a gig tonight and it will be front and center...

Kev you're getting pretty good now (wink-wink), sounds great as always, I'll keep an eye out for one of those CTS speakers for you. Multivox used to be very popular on the Island when I was younger. Post a pic of the speaker or shoot it over to me so I'll know if I find the right one.

btw "The Fudgy Roar" sounds like a pedal TheOdie would love:yes11:
