7 String Bridge Pickup for Musicman Petrucci

Hello, I'm Juan from Buenos Aires, Argentina, way south of the continent. I bought a Musicman Petrucci 7 string in Califormia in January 2016. I love the design, the locking tuners and the construction quality, but i found the original Crunch Lab lacking for my taste. Too soft and muddy on the bass string, and without a beatifull growl on the mids.

I'm not really happy with my main amp, a mesa boogie roadster 2x12, so i'm trying to sell it right now, too dark for my taste.

I play with a healthy amount of distortion, but lots of clean passages.

Think Vanden Plas, early Queensryche, early Dream Theater, Fates Warning. I also love the Whitesnake John Sykes 1987 tone.

My guitar is basswood body and rosewood fingerboard.

I own a old 6 string Ibanez RG770 with basswood body and rosewood fingerboard and love the way it sounds with my 6505mh. It shines, growls and had a big bass. It has a F2 Dimarzio Custom in the bridge. I read it has a 385 output, but know nothing about it's eq.

What do you think could be a good pickup for the 7 string musicman petrucci? It's something like the F2 available??

You have to take in account: I don't have the 30 days back policy and a Seymour Duncan or Dimarzio 7 string is about 155 U$S here, so i don't have much room for errors :)...

Regards from Buenos Aires, Juan Pablo.

I agree with the Pegasus/Sentient, or for more classic sounds and less modern metal, a Jazz/Custom set.

I didn't see the Jazz and Custom on the list, I change my recommendation towards that set.
