Hi, I am considering the possibility of changing the pickups on my Suhr 7 string for Duncans. It's a koa body, pau ferro neck. The pickups are very good, but I wanted to see if there's somethi g with better definition in some settings ( perhaps it's the frecuencies, but it gets difficult for me at times to clearly hear the notes in the lower registers). I don't play metal. More of a rock/ hard rock. I have a JB/59 7 string set lying around that I may try, even though I'm not usually a fan of the JB high frecuencies. Would a Sentient/Pegasus set be a better choice? Seymour should do videos showing those pickups in other contexts or at least other kind of metal. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you have the JB/59 set already, then why not give it a shot? If you don't like it you can always swap it out later.

I don't know much about the Suhr 7-string pickups to offer you a comparison... but the Sentient / Pegasus set is generally regarded by extended-range players as very even and articulate/clear, but they're also pretty hot.

I just saw a demo of a Black Winter neck in a non metal context and liked it
