Check out some of the other busier forums. They have multiple hundreds of thousands.

But, they're admittedly not as knowledge driven as here

The thing I've always appreciated about this forum is all of the knowledge and information sharing, without any of the "nu-uh YOU are!" garbage that we So often run into in forums like this. THANK YOU!!

This place is the way it is because all of you. You won't tolerate the same questions over and over that have been answered 1000 times. And you help people who honestly don't know one way or the other. And it isn't filled with people who live to be contrarians. There isn't whataboutism for the sake of it here.

It's tough to keep the quality of posts high on a forum. The hockey forum I used to own/run with others just hit one million posts recently (over 20 years) and the quality isn't close to what it used to be. It really helps that the group here definitely skews older than most other social media outlets.

I've found that many younger guitarists aren't as gear-centric. Add that to the fact that there is just less of them than 30 years ago.
