They used NMV 1959 JMP/800 style Marshalls with Dallas Rangemaster Treble Boosters.

Most of the amps on stage were dummy amps/props.

They went through a range of tones...

British Steel sounds straight 800 to me

Screaming/Defenders is goosed 800's with Rat, or whatever...

Turbo - I believe they were using those funky hexaphonic pickups and/or modded Marshalls or whatever

Turbo and Ram it Down is supposedly Rockman units.

JP used a bunch a different Marshall combos in the studio including lots of MG and VS series amps.

Also, which album are you going for? They released 6 albums in the 80s and they vary greatly

Remember, part.of that tone is a mahogany body with a set neck at least the midrange power chords.
