A bassguitar pickup with an A2?

Well, its seems like a nice idea to me! Not all bass players, especially fretlessers (aaah, good one, gotta remember it) needs a super tigth and brigth ultra clear punch monster! :smack:

Im in search for a good MM replacement for my fretless, because i find the stock pickup very harsh, "narrow" and high output... it doesnt let the harmonics and vocal qualities of the fretless shine!

So my idea is a MM bass pup with an A2! That way you'll get a warm, smooth sound with lesser top end, and a sweet midrange that lets the fretless tone sing!

Does this sound good to you, or is it just me? :laugh2:

I'd need to hear clips, but I love my A2 guitar pickup, so I might be partial to A2 in a bass as well. Maybe someone here has more experience and will chime in soon.

I don't know cause I never had this combination but I'd think that
Fretless + A2 = Ultramuddy
