A different 50s wiring help question

I'm putting a set of Whole Lotta Humbuckers into my 2013 Gibson Les Paul Trad Pro II. I'm going to do 50's wiring to it. I'm going to keep the tantalum blue drop caps it came with but the lead of these caps is short, soldered to the outer lug and to the back of the tone pots. There is a jumper wire that goes from the middle lug of the tone pots to each volume pots.

That being said my question is, to get to 50's wiring do I move the cap to the middle lug and solder it back to the case on the tone pots and run the jumper from the outer lug to the middle lug on the volume pots? I've done the 50s wiring before just not with the cap soldered to the back of the tone pot. I'm not savvy enough about the circuit to understand how it works when soldered to the back of the pot and then using a jumper wire. Any help with this scenario would be appreciated.

Re: A different 50s wiring help question

Sounds right, but photos of the guitar control cavity would help. Tantalum blue drop caps in Gibsons? I haven't seen this, and the cap itself being soldered from the lug to the back on the tone is not how Gibson does it, so it sounds like someone has already messed with the guitar. Photos would help here.

Re: A different 50s wiring help question

The guitar has push/push volume pots and a 10db boost pot on the neck tone pot. With all that going on you can't trace the wiring to see what's going on in a pic. But I'll try and snap one. The whole circuit is stock, I bought it new and it's the second one I've had. I was told the cap was a blue drop, here is a shot of it from another forum.

Re: A different 50s wiring help question

All you have to do for the 50's wiring is move the tone cap connection to the volume pot to the middle lug, you can leave the ground connection on the tone pot the way it is. That is the main difference in 50's wiring.

So when the cap is soldered to the back of the pot, it doesn't matter which lug the cap is attached to?

Here is a pic of the current setup. I leave the tone pot wiring as is, and just move the brown jumper wire on the volume pot to the middle lug correct?

That should get you there.
