thanks guys. I left a "dry" tone with no delay and very, very little reverb to let the guitar be more in the front, which seemed to fit this type of playing better.

And frankly, delay and modulation "thin out" the sound, the guitar sounds "fatter" like this, so I wanted to check it out.

hey thanks...you shouldn't refrain from posting for any reason! :)

This was pretty much a straight blues in G7. I just used the basic g7/c7/d7 scale with a few extra notes here and there.
