A full recording of Sweet Child O' Mine

Hello. I've been playing guitar since january 2005, and I've finally learned how to play SCOM from start to end :)

I will rerecord the introriff, but I'm too tired now! It took me three straight hours with my guitar in my lap and the laptop in front of me to get the motherf#%¤#r done. :) 70% of the main solo is improv, and 99% of the outro is improv. And it's far from Slash-class, but I'm quite satisfied with it!

I hope you guys can give me some feedback on my playing!

are you sure you've only been playin a few months?

That's what I was thinkin. If you've only been playing for 6 months you should be very very proud of yourself. Good job!!

Re: A full recording of Sweet Child O' Mine

hey that was a good job for playing for a few months. i just started playing this song, could you help me out with sending me the backing track? thanks

Re: A full recording of Sweet Child O' Mine

Nothing wrong with that bro!!! I'd say you are easily in the top 10% of players with your experience which means (if you keep on track) you'll be a monster player some day.

Re: A full recording of Sweet Child O' Mine

Yeah, that's definitely not a beginner song. You did a great job on it. Keep up the good work, man.

Re: A full recording of Sweet Child O' Mine

You sure you've been playing since Jan 2005 and not 2004? ;)

It's really good. For the amount of time you've been playing you've come a long way. I know I couldn't play that song until much later experience-wise (though I never tried before then). Great tone too. What setup are you using?

Re: A full recording of Sweet Child O' Mine

You sure come a long way in a short time. I couldnt play half as good after 6 months. Keep practicing and you'll be a monster! :)

Re: A full recording of Sweet Child O' Mine

Thanks alot for comments guys!! I really appreciate it!

The setup i use is a Epiphone Les Paul Custom and a Marshall MG100DFX. I think it sounds good enough for me!

Do you think i need vibrato in the main solo? Or in all of the solos? When i get better at improv i will rerecord the solo. Not 100% satisfied with it!

dookie911: do you use guitar pro 4 ? If so, download the tab nr. 4 at mysongbook.com

And i did start in january 2005 :) but i've had a lot of help from guitar pro 4. a very good program!

I agree with everyone so far... you play damn good for only playing 6 months. Keep it up! The day you stop playing is the day I shoot myself for knowing another guitar hero has given up on himself.

best regards kid,
Justin

thats really good for 6 months. i like how u didnt "nail" the fast part that segways into the last part of the song, but it still sounds convincing. i started learning that song like 2 years into playin guitar lol. nice job.

Re: A full recording of Sweet Child O' Mine

Very cool...You're a very fast learner!
