hi folks,

I'm building a new guitar and I need your help to choose some single coil pickups.

This guitar will be made in mahogany with fixed bridge and will have a Screaming Deamon in bridge position.

I'm looking for two good singles.

I'm actually thinking in Little 59 for neck and a Duck Bucker in middle.

Please send me your thougths about it and your sugestions as well.

PS. the goal is a really versatile guitar with great sound.

Cheers,

Ivo

hi ivo

just remember that if you use the lil59, you'll have very small pole pieces ... these sound fine as long as you don't bend strings ... if you bend strings, you might notice a drop in volume when you bend the string away from the pole piece

i leanred this the hard way when i put a duck in the middle of my HSH guitar ... i wish i wouldve used the vintage rails instead of the duck

Hi tone4days,

Thanks for your help.

About the bending issue in little 59 and duckbuker I've never heard about it.
Actually I'm always hearding good things about little 59. Are you sure that it wasn't a settings problem?

What are your suggestions for this guitar?
I'm sure about the Screaming Deamon, but I'm not so sure about the singles.

I would like a SRV sound, without the hum noise, I like quite pickups.

Thank you!

ivo
