A happy accident, sort of. (Stripped truss rod nut)

So for the first time in almost 20 years of guitar playing, I've stripped a truss rod nut.
And of course, it had to be on my newest, most expensive and favorite guitar. My ****ing Les Paul! :(

I was setting some extra tension on it because I went from 10-46 to 11-50, and I misjudged the insert once and that was it.
Round it went and made a nice circle out of the allen key slot. Is it made of cheese?

I'll see a tech next week and hopefully he'll be able to extract the worn nut and cut it for a screwdriver.

Anyway, my Les Paul it's now stuck with a neck relief I found unplayable at first. Too straight for my style and thought I'd maybe put 11-54 or something on it to make it shift.
But as it turns out, a week alter I've adapted to it, made my right hand attack lighter, and now the buzz is there but much less so. Amplified and clean it's unnoticeable.

My Les Paul's action from the bridge is definitely low, but not crazy low and I like it so much this way that I've actually adjusted my other guitars to match the LP neck setup,
thus improving my whole herd as a result of me ruining the LP's truss rod nut.

So at least something good came out of this ****ing mess.
I'm still pissed off about it but at least my LP, Ibanez and my Strat now play like butter.

Sorry to hear about the stripped nut and I hope it's sorted without any fuss. Good news about getting the others set up more to your liking though.... so keep rocking.
