The Fastrack II is very well regarded around these parts. Unfortunately many mini-humbuckers are a compromise in terms of output, smoothness and clarity. The Fastrack II balances output, smoothness and clarity.

What I have tried:
JB Jr = Too bright for bridge and not enough output. Great neck shredder.
Little 59 = Decent humbucker sound, not real exciting.
Hotrails = Mush
Little Screamin Demon = Very bright, but a good neck shredder.
Duckbuckers = Great middle pickup.

I had the tone zone s in the past and it seemed that it has a lack of attack ... The same problem now with the lil59 I have now . Nice voicing but not enough gain and not enough attack too ... I consider of a hotrail or a fast track 2 . But for both I have the feeling that they will destroy the volume balance of the true single coils on neck and middle . I don't want a very big difference in the volume when I change from neck to bridge . What do you believe about that ?

I hated the TZ-S in my strat, it was really muddy with the 250k pots. The lil demon has worked really well for me, though I wouldn't mind trying the Norton in the single size too.
