ok, i have some recordings of just me, the one called empty is the start of a song i am writing, i normally write metal/ hard rock stuff, but that song is very soft...tell me what u think of it, i happen to like it a lot. the other riff is a riff i wrote in Drop C...it's got a Black Label Society feel, or at least the intro does...

not a big fan of BLS, etc....however i feel like the main riff could use a little more meat to it...your voice also lacks expression and leans too much on the james hetfield style phrasing...that said, i enjoyed your solo which fit nicely...just keep working on the voice buddy and you'll be alright..put away the metallica records when you're writing! lol..

lol, the singing was more just for recording purposes, we actually found a singer so u guys wont b hearing my voice too much ne more lol

The singing isn't bad. The singer in my band likes to over-emphasize everything and be overly dramatic, so it's good to hear a voice that comes straight out and doesn't overcomplicate the song.

I especially liked the solo man. Nice touch to add to the piece. How did you go about writing the solo?

i had a heavier solo, then i decided that it didn't fit the song so i just ended up recording the backing and hten jsut messing around and improv. over it. i wrote most of it on the 1st try and then jsut went from there, the solo is deff. my favorite part of the song it jsut kinda flowed.
