yesterday i bought a sh2 seymourduncan jazz humbucker to install it in a neck position. I bought it in an internet shop and there was a lot a lot a lot of models...so that i didn´t know there was a bridge and a neck one...i bought a bridge one...

could i install it on the neck anyway?...the sound will be bad?

i also bought a jb4 for bridge...this is only for bridge?...i´m thinking of invert them...

what do you say???

thank you very much

Re: a little problem

ok...i would like to know if its possible to obtain sound...i mean the pole for the first string will be on six one...do you understand??

thank you for the fast answer

Re: a little problem

return it for the neck version ... keep the JB in the bridge

if this is too hard to do (shouldnt be), then install the jazz bridge version in the neck and lower it further away from the strings than normal .. adjust them for balance

good luck

Re: a little problem

and if i install the pickup with the six screws that you could see looking to the middle of the guitar? i mean the bridge one has the six screws near the bridge...the neck one has the six screws (poles) near the neck...what about installing the neck one in the same way as the bridge one but in the neck...

it could be possible?? i could send the pickup to germany again but it´s very expensive cause i have to pay the travel...i have no more money...:smack:

sorry about my english and thank you very much...

the guitar to install these is a cheap model of gibson sg

Re: a little problem

if you won't be using coil splitting, then you really have no reason to worry about which side the screws are on ... it'll be unconventional, but it won't sound all that different ... the pole pieces might not line up quite right underneith the strings either ... again, given your situation, i'd say just install it and see what you come up with ... will probably sound great and you'll become a big star and then guys will be on the internet trying to figure out how they can put bridge pickups in the neck and get your exact tone :D

good luck

yeah...:fingersx:

something things happen that way...by mistake...anyway i´m old enough to forget all that success episodes...

thank you anyway...i´ll try and i´ll be back with a new standard in pickup instalation...and if someone of you decide to remove his jazz pickup made to install in neck to install an inverted rogerinstalation...please tell me...i would be very interested in trying the supossed instalation (it´s a joke)
