Ok so I decided to take the Hamer to a local tech who does setups for the biggest non Guitar Center shop in Town...
I was just not digging my setup and just felt it could be better...So i called up and made a date to drop it off when the tech was around. Best to talk to him and let him know what I'm looking for...
A low well intonated action that still alows for easy chordinging and bends at the same time. guess thats "Standard Action"
I come in and a guy I have delt with before is at the counter...he knows his stuff and we always kind of have a battle of wits...He is talking to a guy about bands he has seen and when their tones sucked. He sees me keenly needing to go to work and asks what I require. He then proceeds to talk about damn Jazz players live tones and leaves me standing there for 20mins...
Finally the other man sees me waiting and kindly bows out and goes home. So We get down to buissness and I procure that the rate is $40+strings...
1. he wont let me talk to the tech and writes down "standard action" on the claim ticket.
2. He asks the model name and is depressed to see its a korean Hamer...I explain its a Hamer Sunburst...He thinks I mean the color is sunburst and looks at me like I'm retarded...then he says "I'll just write down Hamer Electric".
3. He then proceeds enquire about turnaround time bringng out the tech,. Even though I said I was told on the phone 4 days. He coems back with the tech who seemed interested to talk with me and got hsi answer and told him to go back to doing nothing but playing a Lite Ash Tele into a Dr. Z...
4. He then completely ignores my sister and talks her out of a tweak fuzz and tries to push a $15 Dano Overdrive on her...UGH!
So is that just not frustrating? I was 15mins late for work and he talked his store out of a $100 sale...
But they had lite ash strats for $319 before tax!!!! where is my tax return???
