Check it out it is rocking! Stick around to the end or if you get bored fast forward to my solo at the end. It doesnt hold a stick to most of you guys but I never usually play this style of music so I am kinda a newbie.

I did that with the h4 and garageband. The vocals were recorded with the h4's builtin microphone

please tell me what you think

Okay, I'm gonna give you some critics... hope that's okay :)

Overall, it needs more definition and balance...

Now a quick look through the different elements:

The rhythm guitar is too low and mushy.

Vocals needs compression and maybe some automation for more even volume throughout the song. Less reverb as well.

Drums are too low, you hear the ride but the rest gets lost. They also need some variation. Try making some fills when changing from intro to verse, verse to chorus back to verse, to solo etc. And also make them play different during verse and chorus.

Work with high pass filters, around 80Hz on guitars to get rid of things like the rumble from palm muting on the lead guitar. You can also high pass vocals, 80-100Hz might work.

Keep up the work! :)

hey thanks. I literally recorded that in 15 minutes so it is not the best. I just used a drum loop. This is a demo and for that very reason I didnt put it on myspace or anything. I plan on doing a serious recording with a REAL band soon. I also wouldnt be using amp sims in the real recording because they suck (but are very practical for recording quick demos.)

Make sure you post it and the best of luck bro! :)
