A question about Pickup wiring

Hi there,

I have two humbuckers, one is a SH-2N
and the other is a bill lawrence 500XL for bridge.

I want to install them on my KE3.

Thing is, I want to split them both and I only have a volume pot, no tone.
The question is: can I wire both pickups to the same Push Pull pot
that would split both of them simultaneously? I have no intention to choose which one of the coils will be split, I just want to do a simple series split.

Can this be done with one Push Pull Pot that is DPDT?

I think I've seen something similar on my Framus guitar where the pickups were 59 neck with 4 conductors and a JB in the bridge,
which is why I'm guessing it's possible, but I'd like to have your input on this.

Thanks!

Re: A question about Pickup wiring

Yes. A DP/DT switch is two switches. Connect the red and white wires from the Duncan together and attach them to one side of the DP/DT switch. Connect the appropriate wires from the Lawrence to the other side. Then make the appropriate connection to ground so that when the switch is thrown those wires are connected to ground so that one coil of each pickup is shorted out. Lew
