has anyone done this?
the strat neck on the toronado didnt work. :smack: i dont want to move the bridge. so im gonna slap the original toro neck back on. now i have this awesome 70's strat neck and no guitar to put it on. im not puting it on the other strat, shes set, no more mods. im either going to piece together a warmoth tele custom, or try this strat neck on a les paul body. seems interesting.

do you know of anyone doing that?

Re: a strat neck on a les paul??

isn't the les paul is the same scale length as the toronado?

I thought that was the problem you were having to deal with

Re: a strat neck on a les paul??

man, u just can't be slappin' necks on bodies unless the measurements work out, unless of course, ur interested in strange tuned gtrs.

Re: a strat neck on a les paul??

I think the problem with the les paul is the headstock angle. Maybe of you have lespaul with no maple top and have a strat type of bridge it might work.

Re: a strat neck on a les paul??

seafoamer, true... i learned my lesson. i asked someone at warmoth... anything but the mustang (short scale) will work with the neck. the les paul body will work with the strat neck. a tell will work too. you can use a strat neck with a tele body, not vice versa.

i think im going to make some kinda '72 thinline custom....:27: i photoshopped a les paul body and a strat neck together.... yikes

Re: a strat neck on a les paul??

basically, whatever the measurement from the nut to the 12th fret is, needs to be repeated from the 12th fret to the saddle/bridge.

Re: a strat neck on a les paul??

Ed Robertson from the Barenaked Ladies uses a LP type guitar with a Strat-type headstock...

Re: a strat neck on a les paul??

The guitar gods will not like that idea, and neither do I!

But, if it makes you happy, why not!

Re: a strat neck on a les paul??

Try To Get The Measurements And Than Try To ...to Those Measurements ...try To Make It Fit And Then Stain It Like A Paul On The Boday And A Maple Strat Neck And Tell Zax Whilde Wannabes To Get Lost
