I finally put the A4 magnet in the 59N in My LP because I thought the 59N was muddy. Well, the A4 did take care of the problem and smoothed it out. However, I notice that it has a much darker and heavier sound than the Jazz neck in my 335. I was expecting the 335 would have a darker tone because it is a semi hollow body guitar, yet the JB bridge and the Jazz neck sound cleaner and clearer than the 59N with the A4 magnet and the Custom 5 at the bridge. I do like the Custom 5, but I wish the 59N could be a little bit brighter. Now, I begin to understand why the Jazz neck and JB bridge combo is Seymour's favorite set. The Jb has a wide range and you can go hot or roll it back while the Jazz is clean and gentle but can still roar if you want to play dirty. I may want to try the Jazz neck and custom 5 combo and see how they'll sound. Do any of you brothers sisters have this combo in you LP. I would appreciate it if you can shed some light on this.
