A5 Magnet swap into a SD Antiquity bridge question for the experts

Grabbed a couple Rough A5 magnets and am going to put one in my SD Antiquity bridge out of curiosity.
The magnet has a red marking on one end.

If I am looking at the pickup with the screw side on my right lengthwise and slide the SD A2 out- which way do I slide the A5 in?
With the red marking facing me?
Thanks for the help.

Have a look here:

As you can see, the red marking is not to be considered as a guide to the correct installation of the magnet.

If you bought your mags @ AddictionFX, they gently provide a mark signaling the North side of the bar. But it doesn't seem to be the case here?

The standard is the following: the mag's North side should point towards the SLUG side, the South side towards the SCREW side.

HTH,

As you slide the mag out, leave it 1/3 still in and butt the long thin sides against one another (the sides above with N and S). The same orientation will have attraction, as opposite faces will be adjacent.

HTH,

Got the pair at Philadelphia Luthier. You are correct, there is no N/S marking.
Not sure what the RED marking means.

OK, I think I understand that and will give it a go. Thanks.

HTH,

This

Always go with checking the polarity yourself. Different places can mark differently or possibly even be a "Friday afternoon" marking job.
