OH THE DOUBLE THICK GLAZE!
Outstanding. I wasn't expecting them to be this good because of how sort of nichey and vintagey the unoriented magnets besides 2 are. You can get them on ebay thru addfx. So 6 and 9 are oriented and sound like very good and usable variations of A5 with mids. A6 sounds like A5 with some softer mids like A2 and some softened highs like A2 but not to the point of sounding fully chewy like A2. A9 sounds like A5 with the biting mids of A8 but without sounding synthetic. Pretty much the same amount of highs as A5. No compromise at all if you want a middier A5. Just the right amount of bass, nice gritty mids, and crisp top. I'm really impressed. They both have about the same output as A5. I'm using A9 to make my rhythm pickup more gritty and it sounds great.
