I had one in the neck of my Hamer Californian, which isn't really strat-like. It sounded like a bright single coil (too bright for me). I absolutely love the humbucker sized PATB's (I have the regular model in the Cali and the regular and neck models in another guitar), but the single-coil one was just...eh. Also, if you want to put them in a strat be prepared to enlarge the holes on your pickguard; they're bigger than regular single coils.
